WGA: Impact on the Presidential Race

How will the WGA strike impact the current presidential race? Many candidates, probably most notably Kucinich, have leveraged late night television with great success. It's arguable that Kucinich would be no where near where he is today without the "Colbert Bump." But, with the WGA strike, these shows are off the air and will be for the foreseeable future.

How badly does this hurt the candidates that can't afford their own TV time?
